Abyssmal Memory Bandwidth
So, I just got a replacement iDeq (a barebones small factor system), and I put it together today. Anyways, I had some issues with loss of performance before when my CPU fan header had burnt out (there is another case fan right behind so it was possible to still run the system). Anyways, I had noticed huge performance drops in games, even for short bits, which I attributed to R9800 throttling due to heat. Now, with a new motherboard I found the same performance issues and with memory benchmarks I've found that in single channel (in SANDRA) I get around 1300 MB/s and in dual channel 1700 MB/s...
Any ideas or did my memory get cooked?
EDIT: I forgot to mention that I tried both modules individually with the same bandwidth results...
