    so i finally did it.

    i got counterstrike. after numerous attempts of not being able to reinstall my tactical ops, i just went out and bought cs. i am not sure which i like better yet. i dont game much, but i really enjoyed tactical ops.

    maybe a little later on i will get bf1942


    i am always a little behind on the games.

    crap and i thought Christmas and people who ride in short busses were slow. Let me guess you still play Commander Keen before you got CS? LOL.

    ha...naw..the only reason i never got it was because i was never a big gamer, and i had other games that i played. but due to not being able to play those games and hearing my friend talk about cs nonstop i decided to get it.

    CS is good for a while, but BF1942 is good for a LONG time. Especially with the Desert Combat mod.

    So, just out of curriosity, why didn't you buy HL and then get all of the mods that go with it, like CS, DoD, TFC, Ricochet, etc.? These are all free mods

    actaully I think you can get all the other mods out there even if you only have the retail cs...you're just missing on single player hl...which kinda stinks because it's pretty fun...

    yeah...well



    on a side note:

    with my tactical ops, when i try to install it, i put in the cd the autorun loads and i press install..then nothing happens. the setup.exe is in the task manager, but it does nothing. i have tried to explore the cd and run setup from there but the same results. i have installed other programs since. what is the problem? is it due to scratches on the cd?(there are some there, but it doesnt seem too bad). Thanks!

    Did you try killing all apps and programs in the Taskbar/Task manager before trying the install? I had that happen to me a few times and a program was conflicting with the setup running...
