Free local or long distance calls any time of the day

sorry if this is a repost, but i just saw this and wanted to hear people make some chit chat over it.

    http://www.skype.com/

its from the makers of kazaa, apparently if both parties(anywhere in the world) have this program they can use their headset to talk to eachother over the internet, it is supposed to be clear and concise with a broadband connection. they say that soon they are going to try and make it so that you can call a regular telephone, and also that they will provide services for telephones to call telephones for a fee much less than regular phone companies.

    what do you think?

I think that's a pretty good idea. I really don't want to go through all of the hassel of getting it all setup and stuff with friends though. I still think it's much easier just to call people locally and non-locally on a regular phone even if it does cost money.

I tried it out a few weeks ago. I think it's pretty cool. It's just like talking on the phone. The audio quality is good. The only problem I had was when I tried talking to someone on dial up, in which case it got laggy at times.
