wireless is NICE
Well I finally got a lappy and I have a dell 8600, centrino.
Hitting the wireless access points on campus is a breeze, turn it on click and im off and running once my user name and password are entered, being able to hit the internet from anywhere is very very nice, in fact I think im being spoiled because now im feeling I "have" to have wireless for my home
Anyway the more widespread wireless becomes the more people I think you'll see jumping on the wireless bandwagon. Especially with setups like centrino where I dont have to worry about what version a,b,g,bluetooth is running i just click and go!

actually Centrino uses the "b" protocol so you do still have to worry about it. It wont work on an "a" access point.

well Ive already picked up all 3 in different places, I have a dell 8600

It must not be "centrino" then. There are internal cards that can do a/b/g, but in order for it to be certified by the Intel centrino name it has to have the Intel (only b) card.
