Anyone compute in bed?
It's a two-part question. The laptop as you all know gets extremely hot, so I was wondering if they sell a tray of sort; like the ones used for breakfast in bed. Also, I have trouble focusing while laying in bed. Reading becomes extremely challenging after a few minutes while I'm laying on my back. I know it's more of a health question, but wondered if anyone else has experienced this.
Thanks

Sometimes i do that, when it's really hot just lift it up and put on my lap. Afterall it's fine again
Well the health is definately not good, don't even think about holding a laptop is better than sitting properly with the desktop

I put a binder in between the lap and laptop
Reasons are two-fold.
1)Heat isolation.
2)Tilts laptop for better typing position.
But since my laptop is so heavy, I don't do it for a long time.
And make sure you have lots of cushions behind you or you'll get a bad back.
Or buy those beds that inclines.
Oh, and why don't you just buy a breakfast table?
Shouldn't that work just as well?

I do the same thing. When my roomie wants to go to bed, I switch to the laptop. I usually just put it right on my lap or stack up some books
Man, we really are nerds huh?

If I had a laptop, I probably wouldn't simply because I can't get comfortable when reading in bed and I imagine that it would be the same way with a computer.

What do you mean bad?
Like radiation that could affect swimmers or something?
If that's so, I had a thread about this during the summer
And it turns out it's prefectly safe.

If you use a laptop and place it on your lap, you need a lap protector, the 21st century equivalent of a pocket protector.
