    Formatting

    Last time I reinstalled XP it still "remembered" a bunch of stuff.

    What is the best,easiest, cheapest way to reformat?

    Next time you format, make sure you delete the old partition and then install xp, you just installed over top of your old version. Just read all the promps carefully next time you format.
