    Anyone try Kreton memory yet?

Just curious. Normally I buy Corsair or Mushkin, but a local vendor has some Kreton PC3500 sticks for a good price. I noticed newegg started stocking it also but no reviews yet (good or bad).

When is comes to RAM, I wouldn't buy anything thats not Crucial, Corsair, or Kingston. So it's your call. It's cheap RAM and I wouldn't suggest it if you are overclocking or looking for low memory timings.

Kreton is perhaps the cheapest memory available right now. Not something I would voluntarily mess with in my machine.

I agree. I would never skimp on a computer part if possible.

Just to agree with everyone else; paying the extra money for Corsair/Mushkin/Crucial/Kingston is worth it.

depends....if this keton memory has chips that are known to be good from another brand using them (ie, people figured the buffalo would be good because it shares the same winbond memory chips as corsair memory), then it might potentially be pretty good...if the keton has some poorer quality memory chips on it, like nanya or infineon, then it probably is junk.

Stick with buffalo/corsair/kingston, they all perform just as well and the buffalo and kingston seem to be cheapest.
