How to get started:
here is where you can DL the client. It about a 300K DL. After that it runs more or less automatically. Let me give everyone the basic run down.
Intel People can DL the 3.24 GUI or console. I use the GUI as unlike SETI there is not a substantial performance penalty versus the console. It will create and install into a Folding@Home folder. During installation at the end when it asks you to run the program now say no. Go to your Folding@Home folder and create a shortcut of the red flower icon thing. Place this shortcut in your startup. To maximize performance you'll want to add the -advmethods flag in your target line so it looks like this:

To do this merely right click the shortcut and select properties. Mind you, Intel people do not need to add -forceasm that's just for AMD people with 3.25beta, more on that later.
Now go to startup and click the red icon. By placing the shortcut with the -advmethods flag in your startup folder every time you re-boot Folding will automatically begin again.

For you AMDers basically its the same except after you DL the 3.24. You must go back and get the beta which can be found at the bottom of the DL page. DL the beta4.00 and save it in your Folding@Home folder. Go to the Folding@Home folder and create a shortcut to your beta4.00. Place this shortcut in the startup folder and then right click to add a pair of flags in your target line. Like the Intel people you want -advmethods. Also if you have the beta v4 add -forceSSE. This enables SSE for AMD cpus, something automatic for Intel cpus. SSE reduces folding times by around 20% so its well worth it. As you see in my pic above I have beta 3.25, if you use this its -forceasm to enable SSE. Whatever you use when you open your log file it should confirm your SSE boost:

For GUI users your configure should look like this:
