Hehe, so full of questions.
It's not too great of a board for the price, you might want to go with something cheaper, and get a better bang for your buck. I like it alright, but they do misread temps by a lot. That can be fixed with a Bios update... i still don't think it's reading my temps very accurately though.
There's a thread over at Anandtech about it *here* that should give you more info on it.

The DFI board is rock solid. The temp problem you refer too, IMO isn't a problem. CPU temps are never accurately read it seems, so who cares what the display tells you if you are stable. It is just a point of reference. The SATA issues are not a DFI exclusive issue, but rather an NF3 issue. Apparently after a certain fsb, the NF3 native ports loose frequency lock. If you hook your drive to port 3 or 4, you won't have a problem.

Having moved on from my old Epox 8RDA+ only a fortnight ago. I can safely say that I am very happy and impressed with the DFI board. It was'nt expensive. It came with ALL the features and it's rock solid stable. On top of that it is by far the best overclocker I have ever used
