    Talking 21" Sony Trinitron CPD-G500 !!!

    Hi,

    I found a refurbished 21" Sony Trinitron CPD-G500 for $499.99

Shall I buy this? It's got a year warranty.

    Please recommend/advise.

    Thanks

p.s.: it has 2048x1536 max. resolution @ 85Hz; I'm getting a Radeon 8500 next month, on my birthday so I'll be able to play @ Ultra-High resolutions

As long as it's in good condition go for it! That would be very nice paired with the Radeon, and the monitor has a good price too

    Cool

Even though that is a nice monitor, I would go with this.

It isn't a 21", but it is a 19". The monitor uses the exact same picture tube as the Sony G400, just a few hundred dollars less

Go for it as long as it is in good condition and as long as you are a strong person - very heavy monitor.

P.S. Im using the 19" version, very pleased

Run, not walk, and get it! I'm using the E400 (a little bit cheaper and 19") and love it! But beware, it seems like alot of these monitors are DOA and have to be changed. But, if it's refurbished then I think everything is ok.
