    Klipsch Promedia 2.1[Review]

Let me start off by saying wow.

I came home from work today and see a large box from newegg... suspecting the best i rush over and proced to rip open the box, and salvage the contents, my much awaited Klipsh 2.1 Promedias. Took me more time to get them out of the well packaged box than it did to actualy set them up.

Ive already gotten in trouble 2x for shaking the house, you can feel this thing upstairs, and im in the basement 2 flights below.

The lows are incredible, im sure everyone knows that, these are known for the bass arent they?
But im suprised at how much detail is in the mids and highs. Im no audio expert at all, these are my first pair of "real" speakers, im moving into them from a Kenwood boombox hooked up to my soundcard with the aux input, so i dont have much to compare these too. But they are great.

Let me close by saying, for 150 dollars you really cant go wrong with these, sure they might not compare to Paradigms, Axioms, or Primus, maybe they do, i dont know, but nonetheless they are incredible.

Pics are coming tomorow when i can use my parents digital camera(its already 10:37PM here... guess i should turn down the sub... nah.

edit: pics included, they are little blurry, sorry.

IMO those are fugly. Plus they are huge, and i dont want a cluttered desktop, plus the lack of the sub hurts me deep down inside.

the only thing i don't like about the promedia 2.1's sats is that they can be a bit too bright on some tracks. the detail and clarity and all that is there and largely apparent, the low end is great, but arghh.. the treble is simply excessive at times.

especially with a lot of symphonic/power metal stuff, ala dark moor, nightwish, sonata arctica, elegy, symphony x, conception, pagan's mind, ark, opeth, threshold, early in flames (granted the production there was a bit thin, but these sats seem to exaggerate it), etc.. the guitars just become migraine-inducing tools if i turn the volume up to any sort of loud :[

they're great for most other things, though.

Luckily i havnt turned it up loud yet, so im still impressed by the sats througout the full range.

    that's alot of mountain dews....
It was over a full week, so i should be fine, plus i also had other drinks, you can see em by the sub.
hey that desk was custom made and i signed it
Im glad i found the top and put it back on, makes it look more professional, i think im going to be doing some work on it, to curve the edge, cuz my wrist hurts after sitting on it, and maybe redo my majesty, in silver or something.

Run your speakers with the grills off - it'll sound better.
I think im going to, im just worried about spilling or splashing and getting crap on em.
