    System Shock 3

I was browsing the web last night and came across this. Note that a recent edit to the article says EA has announced it is working on System Shock 3 which it has assigned to EA Redwood Shores (Producers of "The Godfather"). A quick search on google rooted up this and this as further proof of its exsistence.

I only hope that EA can pull this off well, and sadly I have great doubts .

    Edit: Spelling errors added .

Who knows maybe EA can develop a good RPG based first person interactive story....lol yeah I have my doubts too.

I really wanted a Deus Ex 3 as well.....sigh. I wish Eidos would get that team back together and just get it done.

An announced third entry into the System Shock series, following System Shock and System Shock 2, to be published by Electronic Arts, and to be developed by the in-house team that did The Godfather. Game and plot details are as of yet unknown.
If it ain't LGS or Irrational, it ain't System Shock.

EA is a miracle worker. They can make a great franchise turn brain dead within the dev time of one year.

Man, Im still laughing at how useless The Godfather was.

Too late dude, they already did. Probably slapped on a 1 year development cycle.

Well at least it will come out, I mean is it even realistic to expect a sequel by the same people when there has been almost a decade since the first game? Probably half them died already.

Prince of Persia franchise did ok by going with ppl that would actually develope the game as oppossed to just talking about it.

Really, though, it seems like whenever companies break up, the heart and soul of their dev team seems to stay together and move to the same companies. The whole team isn't there, but the main players seem to travel together.

Of course, I can't seem to think of any examples right now. Damn.

Indeed. There are a handful of the SS2 developers working on Bioshock, and I would wager their game will far exceed SS3.

I would guess EA will do to SS3 what Ion Strom did to DX: Invisible War... if even that much.
