    Exclamation This Doesn't Sound Good

Over the past few days one of my Western Digital caviar drives started making a very loud clicking sound, but still works fine. Is my drive dying? If it isn't how can I fix this. Just for reference its about twice as loud as a Delta fan.

I was wondering who else here is a ham. I guess it was only a matter of time before someone saw my call!

It appears that I was too late. The drive is already dead. Good thing it was only my decoy Win98, that used for older hardware, and anyone who gets past the firewall goes right for the C drive and fake PWLs , silly hackers!
