Question via 4in1 are they needed when running XP Pro?

    hi all,

I just put together a PC using a via based socket 775 board and a E6420 cpu. I am running Windows XP pro 32bit. Do I need to install the via 4in1 drivers or is the native windows drivers good enough?

I also have XP Pro 64bit I picked up cheap..would I be better off to use it or is the 32bit version still preferred?

    thanks

I would install fisr with the default drivers, and then update to the most recent 4 in 1.

For general use and gaming you probably better of staying with WinXP Pro x32.

If you gave a special application that you often use and it can benefit from 64bit OS then use x64. Make sure that there are Drivers for all you hardware before you install x64.
