    Will this hd work for my laptop?

    I got a Toshiba laptop with a 60g hd and it just about full and friend of mine just gave me this hd but I have no idea if it will work. I know your gonna need more info but the hd thats in the laptop now is the one it came with and the one he gave me is a 60g Hitachi travelstar. What do I, or you need to know if it will work?

    How is a drive of the same size going to help with lack of space?

    If they are both IDE or both SATA then it should work ok
