I would like to set up a duel boot of linux and win2k since they both have thier own boot managers witch one should I install first.

To do it right, you should put them each on a separate hard drive, and put each hard drive on a separate IDE channel. But I think you should install Win2k first; just make sure you leave it Fat32, not NTFS.

Thats right, installing win2k first is the easiest route.
Make sure you choose to manually partition linux upon entering the linux partitioning tool.
By default when linux installs lilo, it will make an entry called 'dos' that will allow you to boot into win2k, BUT using the lilo boot loader, and not win2ks.
To use win2ks boot menu to boot linux, you will have to copy an image of Linux's boot sector, paste this into the root of your c: and have the boot.ini point to this file. This will effectivly allow you to boot linux through the windows 2000 boot loader, and not through LILO, though this step is a pain in the ***.
Your best off sticking to booting win2k from lilo, using the 'dos'

Thanks for the info, I had thought that lilo would be the way to go, it had worked so well with my win98 linux duel boot.
