Post Quake 3 performance in win2k not so good...

Check my specs in my sig and if any one has any idea why I am getting 50 to 70 fps in quake 3 at 1280x1024 in win 2k (when in win 98se I got 90 - 100 fps) I would GREATLY appreciate it.

    thank you.

can you play the game? does it look good and play well? if so whats the problem.

sometimes I think we get too hung up on numbers and not having fun playing.

it looks very choppy.. in win 2kI just use its default 60 hertz and it cant even reach that high with v-synch on and stuff.. I knwo ti can go MUCh higher and I rather play the game at 85 fps with vsynch on at85 refresh...

    Looks like some driver problem.
I switched to Win 2000 and got 8fps more than I did on win98se. 66fps.
