Help please, troubleshooting a Mac classic !

    Hi all,

Recently got hold of a mac classic, in all its beauty. The problem is when i switch it on I get the checked screen shown below. Taken a photo of it.

How do I fix this? Are there some old hardcore sharkies who have troubleshooted mac classics before?

    Thanks all.

Il give those a try. Are mac classics x6?

Also, since they're bin files, do I need to convert them, or just drag them straight on to a floppy and let them boot?

BTW: Should I see a bios or post before those checked squares? It comes up with that display instantly. Im hoping the floppy will still be the first boot device.

Take a 3.5 floppy and fully format it.

Download the .bin file and unstuff it.

Use a program such as Disk Copy to put it on a disk.

Then boot up the computer and pop in the disk.

No im afraid I couldnt solve it at the time. I may try again, or I may just gut it and put a modern pc in its shell.
