Nah, I wish I could though, but with the recession hitting hard right here in Asia, I ain't gonna upgrade for a while. Besides, both my rigs are pretty darn good enough as they are, so I figured I'd sit on them for a another year or two. Nosirree, no more upgrade for me!

Oh ye of so little faith! Just you wait and see, I'd NOT upgrade for a year at the very least!

Edit - One of the reasons why SF is the forum that I call 'home' is because the guys here are pretty damn down to earth. Sure, we may love one vid card or CPU maker over another but we are not fanboyish about it. The other forums I'd gone to, man, fanboys galore (and hardcore fanboys at that!).....getting too old to flame and get flamed at over such a trivial matter. The guys here, be them ATi/nV or AMD/Intel fans (NOT fanboys), are more open to an opposing viewpoint. I do go to guru3d from time to time and they're pretty decent too.

Yup, good bunch of members here; its "home" for me too. And I do frequent Guru3D, Extreme Systems, and Extreme Oveclocking forums regularily. Got best OCing info @ EOF.

Lookin' good so far. All stock clocks with new eVGA GTX260Core216 and new memory 3 x 1GB OCZ DDR3 1600 7-7-7-24. Why just one GTX260, because the brand new 750w Seasonic blew up in about 15 secs. Scared the hell outta me, a rather loud explosion and some minor fireworks Luckily, it didn't take out any other components. So, I just ordered an Antec Signature 850w PSU.

"Yet" I believe would be the appropriate word

Never had a cap blow in a PSU -- made me jump! My head was about 2 feet from the stupid thing!

Good to hear from you again, its been awhile

Hanging in there, working and prepping for night classes for my degree.

Some hardware purchases now and then, but not much. The 9650 and a second 4970X2 was the most recent. Redid my whole water loop with a new res that is constructed out of metal fins keeps my 9650 at max load across all 4 cores at a nice 35c Now just need to pickup a set of blocks for my vc's.

    Meh nothing special =/

I dabble a little when I add new hardware to see what it may score with a little tweaking. Sadly nothing like it used to be when I was competing with Vertices.

Those were the days, squeezing just a few extra drops out of an overclock for a few more points.

Yeah, the good old days......I recall good old vert cheering me on to get past 20k in '01, to be the 3rd guy here after you and vert to get past 20k. Man, that feels like aeons ago....

I remember all that. Those WERE the days. Good times. It's not as fun to me anymore when you can just buy tons of hardware, Quad SLI, etc. It's more like whoever just spends an extra 2 grand wins. Not as fun as when we were tweaking the hell out of single GPU/CPU setups. Damn I have some fond memories of that time. Dropping my radiator in 5 gallon buckets full of ice for runs, lol.

I remember once sitting my case, both side panels off, in an open window. It was about 15F ouside and figured it was a good time to try a max OC. I got so cold I had to put on gloves and a jacket
