I got a BSOD anyone could help? How to read a memory dump file?

    Hii,
    I just got a gateway P7811FX Factory Recertified/Refurbished use VISTA 64bit.
the second day of use it got a Blue Screen Of Death.
"BlueScreen Error code 0x09F DRIVER STATE POWER FAILURE". Any Idea what cause this new Laptop a problem?
I read on other forums say it can be find the problem if you could read the memory dump file.
    Anyone know how?

Is it a one time BSOD - if so, I wouldn't worry about it till it happens often...I borrowed the folloing from another site..

    1. Download and install the Debugging Tools from Microsoft: 32-bit - v 6.8.4.0* - 64-bit (if you are not sure if you need 32 or 64 bit, you most likely will need 32 bit). * Later versions are not compatible
    2. Download, extract the EXE from the ZIP file and run the tool (debugwiz.exe) located at the bottom of this post. (Note: When running on Windows Vista, right-click the debugwiz.exe, and choose Run as administrator from the menu)
    3. Select a dump using the tool and 'generate log'. (Note: You should be connected to the Internet while debugging.)
    4. Open the file c:\debuglog.txt in notepad
    5. Cut and paste the data to your thread, if you are starting a new thread, please include DUMP DATA in your title.

Note: Unfortunately our program will not work properly with Vista 64-bit.

Your program crash dump is probably located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson\user.dmp

    Blue Screens:
The dump file will be c:\MEMORY.DMP or (for Mini-dumps) in C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\

If you do not have a dump, ensure that your machine is configured to write out a dump by following the directions from microsoft

If you are unable to find a dump file at any of the locations given above search your drive for *.dmp files.

Download debugwiz.zip (Please note that the EXE file has been digitally signed by WinShareSoft)

Reading a memory dump requires a dump analyzer and knowledge of the program structure.
What are the relevant entries in the system event log?

You did not indicate the device and if the BSOD was upon return from sleep or hibernation state. If it was upon a return from a non-running state, the cause is typically a poorly written device driver. Make sure you have the latest drivers.

If this happens when the system is running normally, check the power management settings. The system may be turning off power to a device such as a NIC to conserve battery power.

Check the MS Knowledgebase using the stop code to search for workarounds and/or solutions.

    OK, here's the story..
I receive my Gateway P7811FX FR on Friday afternoon.
whole Friday i use seems normal no problem what so ever.

In Saturday morning the problem ocure from normal use.. it just went BSOD after about two hour of use it restart itself then next hour it BSOD and restart again. Also once at afternoon.. I using it in normal usage no hibernation no sleep mode, but sometimes (ocure since morning) when I turn off the Notebook the Vista seems hang so I force shutdown (press the power button for 5 sec), and I also turn off its self restart.

so at night I re-install the OS from Gateway Recovery Management on Sunday it only BSOD once.
