Burned DVD+R not playing automatically... Help!
Hi -
I have a friend who has been helping me back up my DVD collection. I give him my movies, he put them on my HD in the folder VIDEO_TS, and then I am just supposed to copy them to a blank DVD+R and it should work just like a DVD movie in my DVD player. Right? Wrong!
For whatever reason, when I put one of my backups into my DVD drive, it does not start playing automatically like the original DVD, but instead gives me a file type interface where I need to go into the VIDEO_TS folder, and choose a file to play - ANNOYING! One file might be just the menu, which will not work, then the next will be the beginning of the movie. Problem solved, right? No! What it will do is start playing, usually have subtitles on and possibly be in a different language, so I have to use the remote to turn off subtitles and change audio to English. THEN - when that file is done and it goes to the next scene, IT ALL RESETS BACK TO WHAT IT WAS! ARGH!
SO - my question is - how do I backup a DVD to play like the original DVD, considering my only option is to copy the VIDEO_TS folder over to a DVD? Help!
My DVD player is a LG DN898 DVD Player With 1080p Upscaling - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16882005037

These are just backup copies which means having them is better then nothing doesn't it...And three extra seconds to get em running is nothing
But - you could try the DVD to DVD copy function and probably have much better luck.
