I bought Killing Floor awhile back for $5, but I haven't even opened it yet. Madballs is a really fun distraction, and it's multiplayer (If you can find some people) is surprisingly fun.

Killing Floor is good fun, and the class upgrades are nice. My main complaint is that the game flow is always the same: kill some waves, kill the big bad boss (or die), rinse, repeat.

Total War Mega Pack on sale for $20 and change. Contains Rome+expansion, Medieval 2+expansion, and Empire. Never delved into the Total War games much, but that might have to change for this price.

I bought it for my brother for Christmas. He loves it. He had to actually uninstall it from his computer in his house during school so he wouldn't focus purely on the game. He comes over to my house to play lol.

Too bad the dlc is not included. Is the empire dlc worth it? Looks cool

I actually spent a little while earlier this year introducing myself to the Total War games (I had only played skirmishes previously). I started with Empire but for lack of a proper tutorial I went back and started with Medieval 2 and then moved up to Empire once I had sufficient knowledge of how to play.

    Then a funny thing happened...

After a couple of hours playing Empire I realized I wasn't having fun. I spent several more hours with it but there's something about the game that just isn't as compelling as Medieval 2 and I think it might just be the focus on musket battles with no real melee troops to mix things up. Did anyone else here feel this way? Is there some level of strategy I just didn't see in Empire that would make the battles more exciting?

I know that on the PC Gamer podcast they brought on the UK PC Gamer podcast guys and apparently Empire Total War is a megahit in the UK,but not so much here in the US. Of course, now I've missed out on this deal, so it doesn't matter anymore LOL..

Between me trying to complete Dragon Age and some DOD:S to break up the Dragon Age gameplay, I missed the ad for it until today, and now it's over. However, in Dragon age I've got the Mages, Elves, and Humans aligned with me and I'm working on the Dwarves now.

Watching my brother play... there is a ton of strategy. From what I gathered there are 3 basic levels of the fight: canons, horse, and the line. He strategically hides his men, places calvary to break rushes, and is an expert with the artillery. There is a ton of depth there once you get it down. He started with Empire and had no previous knowledge. It is fun to watch him battle.

    New Sales!

Dawn of War 2 Gold Edition (Contains DoW 2 and Chaos Rising) for $19.99
Splinter Cell Elite Echelon Edition (Contains all Splinter Cell games with the exception of Pandora Tomorrow) for $45.99
    Global Agenda for $29.99
    Majesty 2 for $7.50
HL2, Orange Box and each of the HL episodes are 30% off.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Dawn of War 2 is probably my favorite RTS ever and I absolutely recommend it. The base game + expansion for $20 is a crazy deal! We really need to get a 3v3 going with this at some point... it's just so damn good.

I wonder why they dont include PT, or have PT on Steam at all for that matter. Im so tempted to by this since Im hearing great things about Conviction. Unfortunately, Ubisofts DRM can kiss my *** and they will not be getting any money from me.

Oh and I echo Kamas DoW2 endorsement. $20 for the gold edition is plain ridiculous.
