    dvr

I currently can record 4 hours on a DVD-R disc. This is from a camcorder to TV/DVR. If I hit 'eject' the disc finilizes.

I would like to record 2 hours at a time. Take the disc out of the DVR until I have time to record the other 2 hours. Which DVD disc do I use w/o overwriting the first 2 hours?

I would like to finilize the disc after it is full.

I have asked 5 clerks in various stores and gotten 5 different answers.

The disc does't matter. If you want to add to a recording then you select track at once. This is done when you set up Roxio or Nero to record.

My disc or dvr does not give me a choice of track. Is this because I'm using DVD-R? Will DVD-RW allow me to do this? I am not familiar with the terms used in the reply.

You need to buy a burning program like "Easy CD Creator" or "Nero". This is what gives you the option of "track at once" or "disc at once". I use the Easy program and I have been happy with it since 1998.
