Something better than Event Viewer?
Using Windows 7 Ultimate, occasionally the system will just hang with the hour glass icon...can't open anything, active window "not reponding" but nothing in event viewer. Is there anything else that does a better job of monitoring the system for application hangs and causes? this occurs mostly while browsing the web using either IE or FF, Even at stock speed...

Have you tried sysinternals? In it is a speedy but comprehensive event viewer.
