Lumia 920 from att compatible with t mobile?

if I buy a full prize lumia 920 end contract with att. Will this phone be usable on T-Mobile's network?

Sick of paying $100/month for a phone. Think Tmobile's new plans going to be much cheaper.

It will work just fine. However, you won't have LTE (T-Mobile doesn't support it) and your "4G" (read: HSPDA+) will be limited to any bands the carriers share in common, meaning it won't have "4G" in all the same places as a native T-mobile phone.

The 920 being $449 unlocked from AT&T is definitely a smoking deal.

You may need to get an unlock code for that phone if you buy it from ATT.

Yes, he will. Thankfully, AT&T has become worlds better about giving out unlock codes. Used to be they wouldn't give you the unlock code no matter what. Now you just call them or chat with them online, and they provide it. If he were to walk into a store and buy the phone, they would probably be able to provide the unlock code at the same time.

I would suggest buying a Nexus 4 instead, but good luck finding one. Google is STILL sold out.

I LOVE my Nexus 4. The best phone I've ever owned and it's not even close.

The 920 is for my wife, I am on Verizon, just scored a lumia 822. Great little phone. I don't care about a super fancy screen( it is nice enough).

All I need is a phone that gets me through the day with medium use and no charging. My iphone friends are looking for an outlet every 5 hours

Why you want to go trough that is beyond me. The 822 easily lasts a day and a half.

LG sucks .. I would never buy a Phone made by LG. yes Nexus 4 is cheaper than other phones .. but knowing LG is behind it makes me ignore it.

It is only sold out because it is cheaper ...
