When my big Case fan is ON the monitor make corner waves and vibrate a bit .
Hi i just bought a small house Fan from Wal Mart @ 110V ( it's big like an human head )and i try to ventilate with this my open case ,... but when i start at the lowest speed my monitor screen start to shake in the corners and also the picture vibrate a bit .I love this fan cuz it's just awesome , i mean is extremely quiet and cools like hell.
Back to my problem...if i set the refresh rate @ -Optimal- in stead of -85 HZ- the screen is OK and does not shake any more. But ...if i reboot or start the computer, in all the Bios and Dos boot period it shakes and vibrate but this just until the windows98 screen apears.
I realy love this Fan and i hope to fix this problem .
I try to suspend the Fan without touching the Desk but it'makes the same problem.
What sould i doo ?
Thank's for your help , any sugestion is appreciate .

When your screen is in the BIOS the refresh rate is 60Hz, which can be distorted by magnetic field. In windows tho, once you pumped up the refresh rate to 85Hz, it doesn't distort that much since the refresh signal is much stronger. There is no way to cure the problem other than regular degaussing and turning the fan off, since the fan is creating the magnetic field.
Hope this helps.

Try moving the fan as far away from the monitor as possible.
