Hammerhead Shark
did you go into the SoftMenu III setup and enter in your correct settings? When I updated my BIOS it would reset everything and I had to go back and re-set my processor settings for my t-bird.
Just make sure you hit f10 and save it, and then you should be good to go.

i dont know what the correct setting are
im a newbie
-
uhh...the correct settings is going to be 1200MHz, it's pretty simple just go into your BIOS and start looking around (don't mess with ANYTHING at first) once you start understanding where everything is look through the manual that came with your mobo and it'll explain what most everything does/stands for
-
but u know where u can select the cpu speed?
the fastest i can select is 1ghz
-
when i put the multiplyer at anything past 10x
it gives me this once i restart
BIOS ROM CHECKSUM ERROR
DETECTING FLOPPY DRIVE A MEDIA......
insert system disk and press enter
-
for the 1.2ghz what settings do i have to change?
only the multiplyer?
or if i need to change something else
what do i need to change?!?!

Hammerhead Shark
This is what I would do:
1. Go into the SoftMenu III setup
2. go to user define in the multiplier and set it to 12x
3. set the fsb to 100mhz if it isn't already
4. set the CPU voltage to default
5. hit f10 to save and then exit the BIOS
if it doesn't save that correctly then there's either problem with the battery or the mobo itself.
I'd also try to update your BIOS to the newest version, i'm using WZ and things work just fine.
