    Question Kyro drivers? Hello!?!

Man, when are Hercules gonna release better drivers for the Prophet 4500? There's a lot of games where this card rocks...but there are a fair ammount that still dont take advantage of this card's full potential. Plus why can we get better looking drivers...like the ones for the Hercules Game Theatre for example...now they are cool

PowerVR is working on the 8.xxx release of the Kyro II drivers. A beta version has been leaked, and can be found on the web with a minimal amount of effort. Some people have been reporting bugs with these release drivers on the Hercules support forum, and the resident PowerVR tech has been taking them to heart. My guess as to when the final release will come out would be the end of next week. Of course, it'd be phenomenal if Microsoft decided to release DirectX 8.1 around that time, too, to give the Kyro II an additional boost.

    Question

I guess I don't understand, I have downloaded DirectX 8.1 and have been using it for a couple of weeks now. The Radeon's utilize this extremely well, the Kyro does not even know that is there.

I downloaded these drivers from Rage3d.com I believe. I don't like not being able to tell you exactly where I downloaded these files, but I just don't remember.

What you got was the leaked beta drivers for DirectX 8.1 M$ has been pulling them from various websites vigorously, but I'm sure they're still out there. Again, those aren't the final drivers.
