Post SB Live & Vortex Cards

Looking at the cards from a different perspective, and depsite their hardware quality because they both have their highs and lows. I have a MX300 and and now running on a SB Live and found that the software / Drivers comparision, SB's Liveware 3.0 is extremely well done compared to Aureal's.

    What do you guys think?

I would have to say.. if CL is still in business, and releases drivers periodicly, even if to just add a sentance to the readme, then the CL card is the one to get. I currently own a MX300 and having no ongoing support, well, I feel pretty abandoned.

Buy from someone that will update their drivers and support you! I should have learned that lesson from back in the day, when you loaded doom, it had Sound Blaster on the list. I don't recall seeing a Diamond products on that list. Hmm.. Anyway, my next sound card will be a CL product.

My point is, they're still around and they don't appear to be going anywhere. They also don't desert their users (STB, DMM).
