    Angry SUBWOOFER PROBLEM

    I just recently purchased

    Cambridge SoundWorks
    FPS1800

    and I'm hearing this
DUB, DUB, DUB... DUB DUB DUB DUB....
... deep bass sound from my woofer..

First I thought it was my SBlive's distortion... But even when I unplugged all except power and control lines, the sub still made this
    DUB-DUB-DUB
deep sounds, which is CLEARLY noticeable..

From your experience, is this kind of deep low -dub-dub-dub sound normal for subwoofers?
    Or just this certain woofer?
Coz my 14 day money back guarantee is running quick.

    2200mhz @ stock v-core (200 X 11)
    2300mhz @ 1.75v (200 X 11.5)
    2400mhz @ 1.95v (200 X 12.0)

Going higher than 2400mhz is near impossible with air cooling.

Hi. It's not normal. When you say "control lines" do you mean the line inputs from the card to the sub? If so, then it could be coming from your sound card, or even some wierd setting in windows. If you simply plug in the sub with no line level inputs, then the onboard amp is likely bad. Can you borrow someone else's speakers to try? If you can't find the problem at all, buy another brands speaker (w/ sub), and hook it up. If it does the same problem, take back the new speakers for a refund (tell them you didn't like 'em or something) and look into the sound card. If it solves the problem, take back your original speakers. If it ends up being the sound card, I'd contact Creative Labs and tell them about it. Did you check their FAQ's? Good luck.

    Post

    control line
= volume control line from the woofer

    I just returned the thing...
    I heard ACS54 woofer ($40 cheaper model)
and it had no dub-dub-dub thing...

    Be wary
