    Post Anyone know networking equipment?

Note: This isn't an auction notice or anything. I'm just looking for information on how to properly go about selling this stuff. (Any serious purchase bids are welcome though.. )

My local LAN party just got a bunch of Bay Networks equipment on consignment. As the resident connection (social) monger, I was given the dubious pleasure of getting rid of the stuff (and trying to get a little cash from the process to pour back into the LAN party). Original Purchase Price-wise, we're talking over $40,000 in equipment.

We're not looking for to sell it for THAT much, but we're like to get at least a somewhat fair value out of them.

If anyone knows of any place that'd buy it or trade it for other goods/services, I'd appreciate any info you can give me. In return, I'm authorized to hand out free passes to the LAN party for those who are actually helpful.

Here's what I have sitting in my apartment right now. There's more stuff I haven't picked up yet (since my car's only so big).

a couple of companies have trade up programs but that won't do you any good because you already have new equipt.Selling in an auction will not help because of the price tags.Newspaper ad no good because not enough readers will know what the stuff is.
If the manufacture of the equiptment has a Q&A forum or user area you may want to try hinting around that you have this equiptment available and maybe get some E-mails.If they are there looking around then they will have some knowledge as to what you are selling. The only other thing I can think of is hitting all the On-line classifieds.

It is inhumane, in my opinion, to force people that have a medical need for coffee to wait in line behind people who apparently view it as some kind of recreational activity.

just thought of a long shot. Put an ad in the paper for businesses saying you will set up thier network. Sell the equiptment to one or a couple small companies. You set up and install the equiptment and arrange a SHORT service contract and warranty period with them.
