    Not if you want to get at the lower level details. OO still requires you to know what is underneath if you ever need to troubleshoot things.

    I prefer having control or at least not being kept in the dark.

    Now I know what you mean. Yeah that is one of the drawbacks. I've had to code CIN's to get around some issues. But overall, it's cut my development time, cost, and staffing requirements by about 75%.
