    Post Mac developer programs?

Just wondering if there are any decent programming tools on the apple platform. I'm interested in learning how to program in C and java...

As far as I know you'll be pretty hard pressed to find Development tools for a MAC (programming I mean). MAC just isn't a developers platform, though from what I've heard OSX has changed that a bit.

But even still, I've heard that even software which is written *for* a MAC, is typically developed on a VAX system.

I'd get yourself a PC if you really wanted to get into programming.

    wow! hope that's true

anyways, i only ask because i'm thinking 'bout getting a powerbook for college. it'd be nice to have a notebook, and my gaming system i will leave at home. usc isn't too far from where i live, and i plan on coming back during the weekends....

as for alternatives such as inspirons, i'd probably game more than study, so macs are a nice alternative...

    Thanks

Now I just gotta wonder if it's worth it to buy a notebook, and if a TiBook will be worth it. Seeing as how nothing was announced during the keynote 'bout any upgrades, and the external cd-rw promotion ends september, it makes me wonder if something will get updated soon...
