Post Thermaltalke SK-6 Vs Millenium Glaciator Vs. Dragon orb 7k. test results .

Hi i just finished yesterday my first AMD computer and i want to share with you somme results between those 3 HSF combos.
The finished computer and is this one :
    ---------------------------------
    I will KK266 Raid .
    1.4 @ 1.55 Thunderbird (155 FSB) AIHJA-R Default Voltage .
    256 Mushkin Pc 150@ 2-2-2
Gainward 64 MB Geforce II pro 450
Original I will 4 chanell Eax/A3d sound system.
    IBM 40 GB 60 GXP @ 7200 Ata 100
ATX Case 300W Antec suply and side 2x 92 T&T 41 CFM mm intake (one blow CPU other Blow Cipset) and 1 T&T 120 MM 75 CFM in the top for exhaust + The 30 CFM Suply exhaust.
    ----------------------------------
I used in test Arctic Silver II paste (original HSF pads remooved)
We bought those 3 HSF and hawe 48 hours to retourn 2 and keep one so i had more than enough time to test (we say that we gonna keep the one who wil fit his motherboard ) .
I ussed for each fan 5 times Win 98 full load + Seti@ HOME in the test .Temps are taken with both MBM monitor and MB probe ( this one fixed on the Bios Temps) .
    ------------------------------------------
    Dragon Orb - Win98 Full Load -50/Celsius
    Thermaltalke SK-6 - Win98 Full Load - 47/Celsius.
    Millenium Glaciator- Win98 Full Load - 48/Celsius
    ------------------------------
    Seti@HOME full stress :
    Dragon Orb : 51-52/Celsius .
    SK6 : 47-48/Celsius.
    Millenium Glaciator : 48 Celsius .
    ------------------------------
The Noise level was the factor who make us to keep the Millenium Glaciator because is way more low than the SK6 wich i must say that is extremely noisy and i mean realy like a jet engine or something .
You can hear the Sk6 - 7K delta over the Case fans very clear and loud .
The level of noise of the Dragon Orb also is not bad but so far is more noisy than the Glaciator also .
The more easy install i find the Dragon Orb , the second the Millenium Glaciator and after the SK6 wich was not a pain but so far was the most hard to install.
So we gonna stay with the Millenium Glaciator because was only 1 or half degree more hot than SK6 but @ very resonable noise.

Nice testing. Smart idea, to buy 3 and return the 2 you dont' want. Did you buy those HSF's online? Or did you buy them at a local store, because they only thing i can get at any local store around here is probabaly the Dorb. Nice rig you got there, keep up the testing

My brother hawe a friend in Otawa who is computer resseler and he make us up with all the rig up herre and HSF combos also , this is my brother system and i just build and test for him .
Me personaly i will go intel in my next Rig because i just like the intel temp's and so far in this AMD rig we hawe herre a USB problem with this Via motherboard ,...i will try a patch later and may be another Bios flash but i just dont' like stuff like this for this i will go Intel .
What i can say other is this AMD system so far is very stable and i think that hawe the same stability like an Intel system but is just that in my oppinion Intel is better in therms of compatibiliti and more bugs free.
