Sound issues in Rainbow six

For some reason in Rainbow six I cannot hear frags or glass breaking while playing online but I can hear them while in a tutorial. Just wondering if anyone else has come across this problem or if there's a setting or config file that can fix this. Thanx

i cant hear bullets in some games, like covert ops, but i can hear them in other games, like eagle watch.

Ooh, that's wierd. Try DxDiag, see if you've got the proper DX sound drivers installed. After that, you're screwed. R6 has wierd sound. It won't work at all with some cards, for no apparent reason. I remember that with my friend's Santa Cruz, not only did the sound fail to work, R6 crashed constantly if it was turned on.

Then again, SB Live Value is a really popular card... I would imagine that I would have heard of such problems before if it was R6's fault.
