Help - Freeze in CFS2

Help I am getting freezes in Combat Flight simulator 2. I have the foolowing setup
MB: FIC AZ 11
CPU: Duron 700
Memory: 256 megs - pc100
OS: Windows 2000 with sp1 installed
Video Card: Hercules OEM Prophet II MX
Video Drivers: Nvidia 6.47
DirectX ver 8
I installed the latest version drivers from the chipset maker VIA 4.24 and a new patch from Microsoft to address the AGP port issue in W2K. Unreal tournament runs well, all other games run well. Combat Flight sim 2 which I just purchased has periodic freezes while in play. I think I need to tweak the settings for the game but have no clue. HELP

well first off i see you should upgrade your video drivers to the 7.x series, as those are the ones that have dx8 support. idunno if that will help or not but it could possibly be it.
