    I was obviously wrong I just started got Windows XP Pro 2 weeks ago. I had never used an XP/2000 OS before, and I am behind the times

    You've got me stumped now though. Removing every device and trying different BIOS versions is the thing to do, but since that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you.


    Asus A7N8X Deluxe 2.0
    Athlon XP 2500+
    Corsair 2x256mb TWINX XMS3200LLPT
    PNY GeForce 4 Ti 4600

    Alright. I downgraded the BIOS all the way back to the YH version and finally, everything seems to be OK. But honestly,this was way too much of a hassle to get a video card working. Get your $hit together, ABIT!

    That's really strange. Abit is great. I haven't had any trouble wtih any BIOS version on my KT7A.

    I have the very first revision (v 1.0) of the board. There were bound to be some bugs

    And I even managed to upgrade to an Athlon XP 1600+ without any problems at all, even though Abit says v1.0-1.2 are incompatible!
