An update about our Troll Killer1nstinct
Those of you who have been checked threads the other month already are familiar with out very famous Killer1nstinct and his little scam. Here is the address to my original thread, incase you are not familiar to what has happened over this forum.
http://www.sharkyforums.com/showthre...hreadid=111846
On this thread Killer1nstinct admitted to receiving my cpu and then stated on this thread that he did honestly send it back. You can find this on the lower shortcut.

The other week, for whatever reason, he emailed me after months of no contact and enjoying his stolen processor. He said he wished to correct his mistake and that he indeed did not send my processor back as he had lied about. Here is an untouched copy of the email, it is pathetic!
Mr. Cimmarrusti,
I understand Im most likely the last person in the world you would like to hear from right now, but please... allow me to explain myself.
When I received my new processor from NewEgg (XP1600), I set yours off to the side and said I would send it back to you once I got my next paycheck from work. Unfortunatly, I never got that last paycheck, so I never did send it back to you. I understand that I told you and everyone in the forums that I did send it back (and would appreciate it if you kept this e-mail to yourself, I already no longer visit SharkyForums or any other of that kind, as my screwup has pretty much screwed me royally in those aspects), but the truth be known, I did not. I kept the processor of yours in a closet in my room, ready to send back to you once I got some extra money (have car payment, cell, and others). A couple of weeks ago, me and my family went on a trip to Florida for a week, and we left a friend of ours the keys to the house and instructiosn on what to do (we thought we could trust). When we came back, alot of stuff was missing, including your packaged processor, as well as a bunch of other items in my room and in the house. The girl who we left in charge of the house apparently had a little party while we were gone, unbeknowingly to us. She claims she did not remove anything nor did anyone else, but someone obviously had to. Anyways, I understand this may seem strange to say the least, but I would like to work something out with you to give you payment for your processor, which was by all means my fault, and none of yours. You, on the other hand, had the faith in my to fulfill a bargain I made as a man, and I failed to live up to that. Well, I would like to do so now. If possible, could we work out some type of payments to you for your processor or perhaps purchase you a 1.4gig TBird? Please let me know, I eagerly await your response.
Respecfully,
Daniel Stehm
I have replied that he can send $170US which is what I paid for my cpu at the time, not counting the costs of shipping to him and all the time spent trying to hunt him down..alas again no response or anything.
The funny thing is that when I was able to contact him on January 2nd or 3rd/2002 by phone(before his number was change) he stated that he sent my processor back, because new egg sent him a 1700XP for his damaged 1400 cpu. But on the threads he states it was a 1600XP, the same model that I shipped him. He is so clever...
Why he sent me the email the other week, God only knows, for this is one irrational individual!
You can still find him as administrator www.silent-chaos.com and still calls himself Killer1nstinct on his site. He has been participating in a new site that has a link on silent chaos.
I have filed a complaint on IFCC last month, but I do not think anything will be done.
In case you are running across this individual and you do not live right next door to him, don't trust him...he lies...not very well apparently...but regularly!

I think you should take him to small claims court. He is trying to taunt you now, he won, he knows it. Think about your legal options and do something about it. If you dont, someone else is going to get screwed.

Well, I don't see how you can ask $170 for reparation.
You should charge replacement cost, which is around $100 for a 1.4 tbird.
I'd be happy to get anything.

But he sent him an Athlon Cp 1600+ is I'm not mistaken, still not worth $170.00 though. None the less he should pay up.

i think $170 is MORE than fair...
all this time missing this part.. all the trouble.. the actual price.. blah blah blah.. you could charg $170 just in Asprin costs.
For sure if you took him to small slaims you could get more than you are asking.

Correct, I had it mixed up.
So $115 retail from newegg. + shipping prob $9.
That would be replacement cost.
If a processor were stolen and you filed an insurance claim, they surely are not going to give you what you initially paid, but the present day replacement cost.
I don't know how your going to take him to court. Are you going to fly to VA? That's where's he's at right?
The plane ticket alone would be that much. I think it would be hard to prove that you lost money by not having the processor. Unless it was a business machine or something.
As someone who's done hundreds of thousands of $'s of sales on Ebay and gotten burnt a few times. I'd say count your losses and move on. He's already on the troll list, so it's going to be hard for him to trade again.
If the proc and other items were stolen, try to get him to file an insurance claim. What else can you do? Keep calling him a liar? That's not going to get your money.
I dunno, maybe i'm totally wrong. There's got to be some sharky members that are in the legal profession that can tell us what steps to take.

I've always wanted to know what happens to people who scam online. I mean theres not really much you can do is there? besides file a report. As far as I know yor local police cant really do anything about it, and internet is no grounds for real hard concrete proof like that of real life theft cases. I mean one guy could say he shipped it, whil teh other claims to have never received teh product. So I guess I just want to know what can be done about it. It's never happened to me, but I'd like to know what options woud be able available if it ever did.

About some of the pathetic replies....
When I sent him the processor, the cpu was worth quite a bit more than now...the processor was also retail, not OEM. Now, if someone stole your computer that you paid $2,000 bucks for and you finally found the theif 2 years later, would you be happy if he said " Uhh, here is 400 bucks, cause that is what your computer is presently worth", would you be satisfied? Probably not....
Hey, I already know I lost the cpu, I also know that he will not pay for what was stolen...if he had a backbone he would never have done such a thoughtless nonempathetic to anyone.
2 days after I shipped the cpu, when he did not return my emails, I knew I was robbed. His excuses? I have heard better B.S. from grade 4 students, and have seen more mature behavior.
I want everyone to know who this troll is and I want other potential trolls on this forum to know that they will not easily be forgotten. Too many "trolls" on the net have been simply permitted to walk all over people by crappng all over your room and being permitted to effortlessly crap all over anothers. The lack of tracking is what permits these freaks to effortlessly rip people off and laugh about how stupid people are for trusting them!
Another comment about my spending loads of coin flying down to Virginia. The reason why I got ripped off is just that, I do not live nearby...get it! If I lived close to this clod, this situation would never have occurred...believe me...I like thiefs as much as I like child abusers....
