    Weather

    how can u get your city's weather on to your active desktop i saw a screen shot of someones desktop and it had it that was really cool now i've been trying for a while with no success can someone help me please

    There are a lot of scripts you can use to get the weather from various places. PHP Weather is one such package, with some tweaking you can have it run on your active desktop.

    AccuWeather also has A PROGRAM that kind of runs on your desktop, but is basically a background app. It's pretty detailed though, with storm warnings and everything.
