    okay i fixed it!

well as hexidecimal was pointing out that i told him, the mad plugin was making my sub distort at low levels really easily and i also realized that where my desk is and the sub, it rattles my desk fricken hard making the sub sound like its distorting but its actually not. so a little more sub moving and i found a good spot. and on a funny note, the song i was listening to to test out for sub distortion was a bad copy and when i re-downloaded the song, it was twice as nice sounding in the sub category. odd enough. and the dvd issue with no bass output was just that i downloaded powerdvd xp 4.0 and then cracked it. so i just found a different version of it and downloaded it and it works fantastic now under 6 speakers setup. so now my KPM 5.1's finally work like i was hoping they would!!!! its about time!

and hexidecimal, i still think the sound quality of the z-560's sounded fantastic but i will agree with you that these speakers do sound better. not like 100% better but like 30 percent better. i still think the z-560 sub hit prolly twice as hard but the KPM 5.1 sub hits twice as low and has a little better quality. im gonna miss the z-560 sub....

BUT I DO LOVE MY KPM 5.1!!!!!

I'm glad you finally got a set of speakers that work

Now that you've heard both...assuming they work (lol), are the Z560s a good deal for the sound quality you get?

BTW, Squirrel, you ARE going to exchange your blown 560s right? I mean, obviously the PM5.1s are going to be your new speakers, but you can always sell the replacement 560s you get, right? Or are you out of the warranty on that set now?

Aw, Squirrel Meat. No more z560s? I'm glad you're happy with your Klipsch, really I am. But, now I'm of a shrinking minority who have the z560s. I LOVE mine! They haven't blown, but two sets of these Altec Lansing's I had did. So, I know the feeling. I was glad when I changed brands, to get away from the "curse".

So, I'm glad you're happy with your Klipsch.

    PS: 5.1? 500W? WOOF!

woof woof!!! i love it! yeah im kinda glad to get away from the curse. the first two times im pretty sure werent my fualt. well mabey the first was but i doubt it. now the 3rd time....lol, that was sooooo my fault. i thought my house was gonna fall down. then when i blew i thought i was gonna fall down. it sucked. but oh well, i love my new ones! and yes i am gonna get my z-560's replaced. i called like 2 hours ago and i can get them replaced. oddly enough i have to cut the power cord off the sub and then take my control pod and just send those two things in with my proof of purchase which i actually still had. then i have to mail it to a certain place. so i guess it cuts down on the shipping price cause of weight and such. but its okay. my friend is gonna buy them off me so he is gonna pay the shipping for it. it was funny cause the guy i was talking too asked for my previous case number thingy and when i told him and he got into my case thing he was like "ah, Mr.Kennedy, did you blow them again?" i laughed and was like yeah i did. lol. then he just told me what to do and that was that. ahhh boy i just LOVE logitech!

Logitech should seriously recruit you to their R&D testing labs. You're the idealistic extreme user who could push anything to the max
