I don't like winamp that much. I have it installed but I never use it. For some reason I like WMP8.

Winamp is the best thing to play mp3's and uses the fewest resources of any other mp3 player i've ever used. The only thing that comes close is music matches internet radio option.

small, fast, supposedly better sound and fully skinnable. and no useless features (bloat) like minibrowser, visualization crap and support for file formats other than mp3, ogg and wav

I'm another winamp fan. I've been using it for years and it works great and doesn't slow me down much.

I use Winamp too. I've tried a few others, but I always end up back at Winamp. I installed the WaveSurround 3.2 DSP plug-in, and it took Winamp to a new level of sound quality. Check out the plug-ins on Winamp's Web site. Chances are you'll find something that'll tweak Winamp to fit your needs.

    Some people use Sonique.

My friends says it sounds better.

However, it is a resource hog.
