    Little help.....

    I just built my second pc and im having trouble with it locking up in UT. it doesnt lock up any other time one me that i know of. ive tryed reinstalling the os (w2k pro) tryed diff video card dirvers, diff via4-1 drivers refresh lock and ive tryed diff servers. its my gaming RIG in my sig if u need the specs

    describe symptoms of the freeze. like my comp when i brought it home would make this tone from the pc speaker like it was over heating, in every single game. i reinstall windows and the problem is gone.

    Follow Jester22c's suggestions, then perhaps try the system with some conservative timings if that hasn't helped.. Try stress testing the system with something - maybe a benchmark, and see if you can spot a pattern to the crashes.. I'm leaning towards memory issues, so try some memory benchmarks first and see what happens
