Hmmm...an aspiring politician.

The architectures are somewhat incompatible. One has to win, one has lose, and then will probably devlop an architecture of thier own with the same instruction set as the architecture that won.

The cat-and-dog game between Intel and AMD is going to get some major changes sometime soon.

But obviously most people don't think of it this way. Hell how many people have even tried AMD/ Linux here? Don't get me started.
I have tried that combination. I still have my Linux installation sitting right here on my ol' Quantum Bigfoot 2.5gb HDD. Just waiting for the day that I have time to deal with Linux, and it won't be for a while. Too much work just to not be able to use every program I ever bought.
