    Help! Do I have a bootable CD-rom?

    Hello-

    I am a 1st time builder with new parts on the way, and I am considering how to install Win XP pro on my new rig. I have read about boot disks, but I wasn't even planning on putting in a floppy drive. My question, is will I be able to install XP by simply putting the XP cd into the drive and powering up?? I have a new Epox 8hka2, Amd 2000, and the lite-on 48x cdrw for the rig. I would sure love a little advice, as I am pretty clueless at the moment. Thanks!
