Cool Changing out keyboard lights to LEDs

Okay, i thought id start this so that I could get some information from those who have changed out their keyboard lights to LED's. I know this can be done (ive seen some kits for sale) but i was thinking i could do it myself with a little directional help from you guys, and other people could learn from this post if they are also interested. Anyways, just post away with ideas and help!

edit: lol, yes i know that keyboards already have LEDs i was just trying to get help on how to change out the stock ones for colored ones (im thinking of doing multi-colored )
