Gainward G3 Ti200 and driver issues
So I finally got my new rig all nice and pretty, all the software installed, sound, video, 4-1 etc, and the damned thing won't work. First thing I fired up was Sandra, and the system locked with a funky screen. Many reboots and a lot of cussing finally saw a second install of XP, a roll back and I found the problem. Seems the utility Gainward has, "Expertool", was causing that problem. I couldn't even get a screensaver to load without locking up tight with that thing enabled.
For the record I installed XP home, Via 4-in-1 4.37 (from soyo.tw), Det. 21.83, and the sound driver for the onboard sound. Anyone see something missing or wrong ver. numbers? I loaded Powerstrip as a replacement for Expertool, but I really like that tach looking graphic for clock adjustments. Anyone else have a problem with this utility?
For the record out of the box she's running at 200/451 with a 3Dmark score of 6788. The system is not optimized yet so I'm sure she'll get well above 7000. Beats the 1750 that my MX was doing!
