I initially had only 1 router, a Linksys with 8 ports, connected to a cable modem. I am using 6 ports. I added a 4 port wireless Netgear router. I connected the Netgear router to a port in the Linksys router. The Netgear router got an IP assigned to it by the Linksys router.
There are 2 networks, the original 192.168.1.0, and now a 192.168.0.0. The problem is that computers in the 192.168.1.0 cannot access computers in the 192.168.0.0 network. However, computers in the 192.168.0.0 can access computers in the 192.168.1.0 network.
I tried adding a static route in the Linksys router, but I am not sure if that is the solution nor if I added the correct information:
Destination LAN IP: 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.10 (IP of the Netgear router)
Hop Count: 0
Interface: LAN
Anyone know how to correct the problem?
Thanks.
