Welp, first of all I'm new.. hi. I've been reading the boards for about 3 months now. I am building my first computer this August, and this is a pretty darn good place to get info about it!

Anyways..

The question I have is about a store bought emachines.. Now I am certainley not the one who bought it. My parents bought it, without asking or telling me, go figure.. It is a 2ghz Celeron and the dang thing drives me crazy. It runs a crapload slower than my 733 P3! Now I hear that it is because of all the crap programs and spyware that emachines loads onto the comp for the consumer to put up with.

I was just wondering what I can do to get it to a point where its a clean reformat without having it be a emachines restore, with the extreme slowness..
