Webcam Broadcasting? Please Help!
ahhh, man, I'm having some serious confusions here. Alright, 4 computers, 3 are networked in an office
comp 1: desktop, winxp, networked at office
comp 2: desktop, win98se, networked at office
comp 3: desktop, win98se, networked at office
comp 4: laptop, win2k, nonnetworked at home
I bought 3 logitech webcams, set 2 up at the office, one on the XP comp and the other on the 98se comp.
Since they were networked, I opened up netmeeting, clicked place call, and simply typed in the computer name on the network and it connected, no probs.
Except now, I need to be able to connect the same way through netmeeting to the 2 comps from home. I tried going by IP Address, but it didn't work. And using the directory thing, I'm competely confused.
I've read on some other sites that I need to be logged onto an ILS server under "Directory."
Right now it's set at "Microsoft Internet Directory"
okay, how can I connect to the other computer, just a one on one?
would I need to get the hostname, like AMD900.pacbell.net/[email protected] ?
And could I just do it like that, or would I need to still configure an ILS server, and is there an official ILS server used by Microsoft?
aiiiiiieeeee, so frustrated and confused.
thank you!
