I must say the manual for my BFG GF4 Ti4200 128 MB AGP 8x was abysmal.
It barely covered installing the hardware :P
What it utterly failed to cover was the Svideo out feature.
So I was wondering what is the typical resolution a GF4 can put out to TV? And what setting do i change where to get the job done?

With my AIW 128 Pro this was an easy matter.
For starters the manual said you were limited to 800x600 (actually you could do 1024x768, but then the pic was bigger than the TV screen :P) and setting it up was easy too...display properties, settings, advanced, display - 2 pics here, 1 a monitor and the other a TV, both pics had a power button...EZ and self-explanatory
Now how about the GF4?

On another note I just had a strange runnin with Maxtor :P
(this is so OT but hey the geekiest crowd hangs in video and CPU,
and those r the guys im aiming for )
My 60 gig Maxtor in my video capture system died a couple days ago,
no warning signs, system hardly ever used (how much video capture/editting/conversion does the average Joe do?).
The system was 3 years old so I was all set having to replace the damn drive, when last night I just happen to look at something interesting on the drive:
Manufactured: May 2000
War. ends: Aug 2003

So I got Maxtor on the phone and here it gets weird...maybe you can make sense of this...
Maxtor is willing to replace the drive (they will ship and then give me 30 days to return the old one - which is 100000000% nicer than what PCsupply does, where they won't ship until they get your part -
IMHO this is just a little something about the customer being king or so...) but they refuse to acknowledge that my old drive is still under warranty which is why I won't get warranty on the new drive...

Ok now can someone put this in english for me?
If the drive wasn't under warranty Maxtor wouldn't replace it now would they? If the drive wasn't under warranty then why did they put that label on saying that it still is under warranty until august of 2003 ?

Not complaining here mind you. 24 hours ago I thought I had to buy a new drive, so I'm happy now...just confused about that phone call with maxtor
